Doylestown Emergency Associates (DEA) was formed in 1992 as a physician owned, democratic emergency physician group. From that initial group of just six physicians so many years ago, the group has evolved into a cohesive and highly skilled team of physicians and advanced practice providers, all with an emphasis in professionalism and quality care. DEA physicians have trained at some of the most prestigious institutions, and all are board certified in Emergency Medicine.
DEA is the provider of emergency care services at Penn Medicine/Doylestown Health (PMDH) and has done so for over 30 years. In this way, we have been able to work symbiotically with the hospital to meet their needs as well as the community's. We are an integral part of the PMDH medical staff, and hold positions on a variety of hospital committees, the Medical Executive Committee, and Medical Staff Leadership.
In addition to emergency care in the ED, DEA provides leadership within the Penn Medicine Doylestown Health system of patient care.
Philosophically, we have a few guiding principles. First and foremost is that the patient comes first. Patients come to us at their most vulnerable and put their trust in us. That trust is honored and respected with kindness and empathy, which DEA holds as a critical part of our approach to care. Our focus on ED based medicine is to provide high quality and timely care. An essential component of this is physician ownership. We believe that when physicians are partners in a practice, that the resultant care we provide is reflected in our commitment to you.
We look forward to ensuring your ongoing health.
